My life has been a fascinating journey through different countries and cultures.
Born in Italy, I spent my childhood in France, Spain, and Belgium, while my teenage years took me to England, where I attended secondary school. Upon returning to Rome, I obtained my classical high school diploma (Baccalauréat) at the French Lycée Chateaubriand.
My passion for languages and literature guided my academic path, leading me to earn a degree in Foreign Languages and Literatures and to specialize in Linguistic Mediation Sciences. I further enriched my education by completing several exams of a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Linguistics in England. This academic background allowed me to explore writing through different cultural and linguistic nuances.
After dedicating several years to teaching in Italy and abroad, I embarked on a long institutional career at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. My work included assignments in the diplomatic offices of various Ministers of Education, University, and Research, as well as in a Mission Structure of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers. From 2010 to 2012, I was seconded to the Consulate General of Hong Kong, where, in addition to serving as a cultural attaché, I taught Italian language and culture at HKBU University.
In 2019, I chose early retirement to focus on my passions, particularly writing.
I collaborate with the in-depth news outlet Il Sussidiario.net and serve as an editor for the Red Cross Italy Magazine, where I have been volunteering since 2018.
My Literary Work
In the literary field, I published my first novel, Il silenzio oltre la porta (Silence Beyond the Door, Mancosu Editore) in 1995.
My second novel, Il diritto di vivere (The Right to Live, Fabio Croce Editore), won first prize at the Convivio-Giardini di Naxos competition in 2009 as the best fiction book.
In 2019, I dedicated a tribute to the musical trio Il Volo with Grande Amore al primo ascolto (Great Love at First Listen, AltrEdizioni), an authorized work that was enthusiastically received by their fans.
Recently, I signed a representation contract with literary agent Vicki Satlow for the publication of a new novel, Concorrenza al Paradiso (Competing with Paradise, which describes an effort to make the world a better place, aiming to reach the ideal of paradise).
Una vita quasi perfetta and A life almost perfect is currently being published by Ad Astra Edizioni, both in Italian and English.
